This article discusses Global Data - where this data comes from and how to incorporate this data into your workflow.
Global Data contains address and contact information for law firms, real estate agencies, local councils, lenders and more. Containing thousands of pre-loaded contacts, this information can be used when entering the contract data for your workflow, which in turn is used when generating documents in conveyIT Maestro.
Where can I find Global Data?
Global Data, and all other contact information, is found in the "Contacts" tab on the left of the workflow screen.
Who can access Global Data?
All conveyIT Maestro users have access to Global Data. The Contacts tab also contains data specific to your firm. This information is included in the “Client” and “Contact” categories.
Client and Contact information can be input into conveyIT Maestro both manually by firms’ users and automatically via a Sync with your practice management system if available.
Where does the rest of the Global Data come from?
Global Data was originally set up by the conveyIT team, however, conveyIT Maestro users are now also able to add to Global Data. The conveyIT team maintains Global Data and checks every entry as it is made or changed.
How do I use the Global Data in my workflow?
Global Data is automatically accessed when contract data is updated. Simply select "Update Contract Data"
You will be taken to a new screen where conveyIT Maestro stores data that is used more than once when generating documents, including contact information within the Contact field groups.
Simply start typing into a contact field and, if included in Global Data, conveyIT Maestro will auto-fill the contact details for you.

What if the information is not available in Global Data?
All Fields in the contract data are free text fields that can be updated by the user as is needed. Users can also add in any additional information that may be needed.
Can I save this information that has just been added in?
Once new information has been added click the “Save Changes” button. A dialogue box will then show on your screen.
Selecting “Update Global Data” will update the Global Data set with the information you have changed or added in. This will also update you matter straight away.
If “Updating my matter only” is selected, the matter will be updated right away, however, the information added will not be included the Global Data set for future use.
